OKATE IGNITE 2026 is an educational technology conference grounded in one central belief:

Technology should strengthen teaching and learning. Pedagogy leads. Purposeful technology integration accelerates impact.


This year's theme, Embracing the Possible, invites educators to reimagine what's achievable when innovative pedagogy meets intentional technology integration. We're looking for sessions that inspire possibility--showing not just what works today, but what becomes possible when we blend sound instructional design with emerging tools and strategies.

Proposals should move beyond tool demonstrations to showcase how they promote efficiency, engagement, and rigor for authentic classroom instruction.

Strong submissions will address one or more of the following:

    • Center on effective pedagogy and sound instructional design
    • Articulate why the strategy works and its impact on learning outcomes 
    • Provide practical, classroom-ready applications educators can implement immediately
    • Demonstrate adaptability across grade levels, disciplines, and learning environments
    • Integrate educational technology intentionally to elevate strong teaching practice
    • Focus on IT infrastructure, privacy, policy, and data governance

OKATE prioritizes sessions that inspire educators to think differently, teach more effectively, and lead meaningful innovation in their schools and districts.

Important Information

  • Emails related to your submission will come from event-noreply@whova.io. Please make sure that all emails from whoa.io are whitelisted in your email system.
  • All speakers will be required to register for the conference, either as an attendee or an exhibitor. The "lead" session speaker will be able to register for $150; all other session speakers will register at the applicable rate, based on membership status.
  • It is important for each speaker to use the SAME email address for your proposal AND your registration for the conference.

Title of Presentation: Limit 200 characters. Your title should help attendees easily understand the topic of your session.

Summary: Limit 1500 characters

3-5 keywords that summarize your topic
