Ashley is currently the library media specialist and District Testing Coordinator at Canton Public Schools in Canton, Oklahoma. She has presented at local, state, and national conferences on innovative programs for the classroom and library. Following her presentation at the American Association for School Libraries Conference in 2013, she was published in American Libraries Magazine. She has also presented at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE).

Ashley began her career in education in 2001, teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades before serving as a library media specialist. Over her 25+ years in education across Kansas, Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, she has been named Teacher of the Year at Savannah Elementary (2012), Longfellow Middle School (2014), and Garber Public Schools (2017). She has also served on the OKATE board for 10 years. Ashley earned her undergraduate degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and her graduate degree from Texas Woman’s University.
