Karen Leonard joined the Oklahoma State Department of Education as the Director of Education Technology and Virtual/Blended Instruction in 2019. She has worked in education since 1992 and has taught in Ohio, Georgia, and Oklahoma. Karen earned her BS in Elementary Education from Bowling Green State University. She also has earned a Masters in Curriculum & Instruction, a Specialist degree in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University, and is working to complete a Ph.D. in Learning, Design and Technology at Oklahoma State. Karen In 2021, she received the OKSTE Technology Leader of the Year award.
