| Kitty Herbel currently serves as the District STEAM Coordinator for Enid Public Schools, where she has been since 2009. Kitty has been in education since 2004 and has taught 4th & 5th grades as well as teaching middle school Computer Science. Kitty has presented at local, state and national conferences on innovation programs for the classroom. She also worked with a small group of teachers from across the country to write national Cybersecurity Standards with Cyber.org. Kitty is a Code.org Discoveries Facilitator for the state of Oklahoma and has served on the Hour of Code Teacher review committee for the past 5 years. She has received the Supporting K20 Innovation Educators (SKIE) Award from the K20 Center, was named the Eskimo Joe’s Teacher of the Year, and won the “Making IT Happen” Teacher of the Year award. Kitty has a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Guidance and Counseling. |
